What's different about working in Destin
Salt from two directions
Gulf spray to the south, bay air to the north, and a peninsula narrow enough that both reach most properties. Fixture finishes, stainless grades and plant selection all get specified tighter here than they do inland.
Tight lots and difficult access
Holiday Isle and Crystal Beach have narrow lots, short driveways and neighbours close on both sides. Equipment access is planned before we quote a large palm or a machine-dependent excavation, not discovered on day one.
Rental turnover and peak season
A large share of Destin properties are short-term rentals. Summer is exactly when work is least welcome and most needed. We book shoulder-season where scope allows and phase around bookings where it does not.
Older systems in established neighbourhoods
Kelly Plantation, Regatta Bay and Indian Trail have irrigation and lighting systems old enough that repair is often about diagnosis rather than parts. We run every zone before quoting anything.

Do pavers hold up this close to salt water?
Better than poured concrete does. Concrete pavers cure denser and shrug off the salt exposure that spalls a slab, which is why they are the default surface across Destin and the beach communities.
My sprinklers keep failing. Is that a Destin thing?
Partly. Sand drains faster than a long cycle can wet, so systems here get run hard, and salt shortens component life. Most calls turn out to be a stuck valve or a controller fault rather than the whole system.
Which palms survive here?
Sabal palmetto and pindo handle both the salt and the occasional Panhandle freeze. Queen and coconut palms are popular here but marginal in a hard winter — we will tell you that before you buy one.
Can you work around a rental calendar?
Yes. Give us the turnover windows and we will tell you honestly what fits. Lighting, planting and small paver repairs usually fit a week; a full pool deck does not.
Do you handle the permits?
