Brick Pavers

Brick paver driveways, built for coastal ground

A paver driveway is the first thing anyone sees of your home — and on the Emerald Coast it has to hold up to sandy soil, salt air, and afternoon downpours. We design and install driveways that stay level and drain properly, and we repair the ones that don't.

Typical investment

{{TODO-OWNER: typical paver driveway price range or starting price}}

Every driveway is quoted after a site visit — size, access, and material drive the number.

Warranty

{{TODO-OWNER: workmanship warranty term, e.g. 2 years}}

Workmanship coverage in writing, plus the manufacturer's warranty on the pavers themselves.

How it works

From site visit to sealed joints

  1. 1Week 1

    Site visit & measurements

    We walk the site, check grades and drainage, and measure. Out-of-state owners can do this by video call.

  2. 2Week 1–2

    Design & fixed quote

    Layout, pattern, and border options with samples of the actual pavers — and one written price, not an estimate.

  3. 31–3 weeks lead

    Materials & permitting

    We order from Belgard, Tremron, or Pavestone and handle any county permitting and utility locates.

  4. 4Days 1–2

    Excavation & base

    Old surface out, geotextile down, limestone base compacted in lifts — the step that decides whether a driveway lasts.

  5. 5Days 2–4

    Laying & cutting

    Pavers set to your pattern with clean cuts at borders, aprons, and curves. Edge restraint locks the field in place.

  6. 6Final day

    Sand, compact & walkthrough

    Polymeric sand swept and compacted, site cleaned, and a walkthrough with you — in person or on video.

Materials & brands

We install Belgard, Tremron, and Pavestone concrete pavers, and clay brick where the architecture calls for it. You pick from physical samples at our Freeport location — colors read differently in coastal light than in a catalog.

What coastal driveways are up against

Sandy, fast-draining soil

Coastal sand won't hold a base that was compacted once and forgotten. We compact in thin lifts over geotextile fabric so the base can't wash into the subgrade — the failure behind most sunken driveways we're called to repair.

Salt air & hard rain

Salt attacks cheap surface finishes, and summer storms move a lot of water fast. We spec salt-tolerant pavers and grade every driveway to carry runoff away from the slab and the house.

Walton & Okaloosa permitting

Driveway aprons, right-of-way work, and drainage changes can need county sign-off — and HOA review in most 30A communities. We handle the paperwork. {{TODO-OWNER: confirm current county permit requirements}}

Paver driveway questions

How long does a paver driveway take to install?

Most residential driveways take three to five working days on site once materials arrive — excavation and base work first, then laying, cutting, and sanding. Weather and driveway size move that window.

Can you repair a driveway another contractor installed?

Yes — settled or sunken pavers are one of our most common calls. We lift the affected area, rebuild and re-compact the base, and relay the same pavers. Done right, the repair is invisible.

Will weeds grow between the pavers?

Not through a properly sanded joint. We use polymeric sand, which hardens against weeds and washout. Any growth you see later comes from seeds settling on top and is easily treated.

Do pavers hold up to salt air near the beach?

Yes. Concrete pavers are cured denser than poured slabs and shrug off salt exposure that spalls ordinary concrete. It's one reason they're the default surface in beachfront communities along 30A.

Can you match pavers to my pool deck or patio?

Usually. We identify the existing manufacturer and line, and if it's discontinued we'll propose the closest current match — with physical samples side by side before you decide.

Do I need to be there during the work?

No. Many of our clients are out-of-state owners. We send photo updates at each stage and do the final walkthrough by video call if you can't be on site.
